Houserules

General Rules

• All instructions from employees of Hotel Heerlen, which are related to house rules, must be followed.
• In case of fire, keep calm. Report a fire to the reception and/or hit the nearest fire alarm.
• The use of laughing gas is not allowed in our rooms! If we find this, expulsion and intake of nitrous oxide cylinders will follow.
• Leave the building immediately in the event of a fire alarm. In the event of a fire, do not use the lifts under any circumstances.
• It is absolutely forbidden to light candles due to the fire alarm and the risk of fire. The fire alarm system is activated immediately.
• Masking our smoke detectors is strictly prohibited.
• Smoking is not allowed in our entire hotel from July 1, 2008. If you do smoke, we are forced to charge a fine of €150.
• If our fire alarm system goes off due to negligence on your part, we are forced to recover the resulting costs from you.
• A valid ID must be presented at check-in. Check-in is possible from the age of 18.
• Hotel Heerlen can charge a deposit at any time upon check-in. After the room has been inspected upon check-out and is in good order, the deposit will be refunded to you.
• Any damage can be settled with the deposit and / or in case of (larger) damage we will send you an invoice for this and a report will be made to the police.
• Deposit will only be refunded to the guest who has identified themselves during check-in. It is mandatory to show proof of identity or invoice with the return payment of the deposit.
• It is not allowed to receive unregistered or other hotel guests in the room. If other guests are found in the room, an appropriate fine will be charged.
• The maximum number of people indicated in the booking is allowed in the hotel room .
• It is not permitted to consume, use, trade or carry narcotics. Upon detection, expulsion and intake of the narcotics follows.
• It is not allowed to disturb other guests through loud music, obnoxious behavior or noise of any kind.
• It is not allowed to receive guests in the rooms for sexual activities.
• There are cameras in various places within the building. Everyone who is in our hotel agrees to make recordings. In the event of calamities and/or incidents, these recordings can be shown to third parties as supporting material.
• Parking is free and at your own risk.
• Found objects must be handed in at the reception.

• Hotel Heerlen is not responsible for loss or theft of your belongings. The Management, the owner of this location and/or persons working for the hotel cannot be held liable for any injury and/or material or immaterial damage that visitors to the location may experience.

• Failure to comply with the above rules or damage, loss or destruction of property of Hotel Heerlen will lead to immediate removal, liability and/or report to the police. A listing on the alert list also follows.
• In the event of a violation of the rules as stated in these house rules at the moment that other unlawful or unlawful behavior is involved, Hotel Heerlen has the right to place you on the Alert List for a certain period of time and/or, if applicable, a documented confirmation, to share your details with other Valk Exclusief hotels so that you are no longer welcome there either. In the event of a placement on the Alert List, you will receive a written notification.

• In all cases not covered by these regulations, the Management of Hotel Hotel Heerlen will decide. We wish you a pleasant stay at Hotel Heerlen.

Deposit

• We have the right to request a deposit of €150.00 for the issue of the room key to guarantee the room. This can be paid by prepayment, debit card or credit card. We will return the deposit upon check-out, provided that the room/suite is left in the correct condition and that all house rules are observed.
• Smoking is not allowed in the entire hotel. In case of violation of this rule, the hotel will charge you at least €150.00 for the extra cleaning costs and/or damage suffered. In case of more serious damage to our belongings, we can charge you a higher amount.
• The use, trade or possession of narcotics (in any form) is prohibited. When using and dealing in drugs, the hotel management will call the police, and can proceed to removal without refund of payment.
• The use of laughing gas or the smuggling of laughing gas tanks is absolutely prohibited.
• Certain decoration, such as confetti, is not allowed in the hotel rooms. Ask at the reception if your decoration is allowed. Additional cleaning costs or technical defects as a result of this will be borne by the guest.
• Reserving a room/suite for sex work is not allowed. Upon detection, immediate deportation will follow, and a report will be made to the police.
• Damage, loss or destruction of property of the hotel will lead to immediate removal, liability and/or report to the police.
• The presentation of a valid proof of identity (driver's license, ID or passport) is mandatory
• If the staff on duty suspect that the house rules are being broken, immediate eviction may result. In addition, a report may be made to the police and a note may be placed on the alertlist.
• Check-out of this room is no later than 11:00 am, after which we will check the room. Please note that checking the suite takes 5-10 minutes

• In case of violation of the house rules and/or deposit regulations, the deposit may be withdrawn and/or a fine may follow. A listing will also be made on the Valk Exclusief alert list.
